Move over Blayze Williams - a new glamour model wants to take your world's sexiest trucker title. Tattoo pin-up chick Jenn Desmond, who also goes by the name Dollywood online, said she could give the year-old a run for her money with her work driving heavy rigid dump trucks for the past six years. The Perth year-old, originally from New Zealand, said she too often got questioned whether she drove big trucks. She is one of just three female drivers working in her team of 19 in Western Australia, but said there should be more women like her. Ms Dee came forward after Ms Williams originally got given the title. When you think of the average truck driver, year-old Blayze Williams is not what comes to mind as her long flaxen locks and stunning figure make her an unusual sight behind the wheel of a semi-trailer. I used to clean trucks for work and one day they said we needed to get a license to move them around. Blayze, who is also a current national champion horse-rider, bagged her first job as a trucker one year after first getting behind the wheel. And despite not fitting the trucker stereotype, she quickly found she had a taste for the perks of life on the road. There is currently a national shortage of truck drivers in Australia and Blayze said more women should consider the profession as a career. On the whole, everyone has been pretty good.
Kara Rouse, who has previously stripped down into some skimpy outfits next to her Barbie-pink cab to raise funds for a charity calendar, was crowned the first ever winner of the inaugural Britain's best lorry driver competition. The single mother-of-three beat stiff competition from more than entries to be one of the 12 finalists which went up for the public vote throughout October. She said: "I am so excited, I can't believe I have been nominated by so many. I have found the nominations very moving; after all I am just being me. Ms Rouse will now swap her job behind the wheel to feature in the January issue of Trucking Magazine, which is released on December.
